Nokia Launches Linux Initiative

Nokia is to offer its patented technology to open source developers to develop the Linux operating system.

Linux should be more extendable to include mobile devices and mission-critical telecoms infrastructure.

IBM recently published 500 patents, that can be included, free of charge in open-source projects. Red Hat a Linux seller allows its patents to be included in Linux developments.
